Cancellation Policy

Cancellation Policy

We understand that there are times when you must miss an appointment due to emergencies or other obligations. However, when you do not contact us to cancel an appointment, you may be preventing another patient from getting much needed treatment. If an appointment is not cancelled at least 24 hours in advance, you will be charged a 50% of the treatment fee*. If you do not show for an appointment, you will be charged 100% of the treatment fee*. The cancellation fees must be paid before you can schedule another appointment. 
* This fee is not covered by your insurance.

Late Appointments

We understand that delays (i.e. traffic) can happen. However, we must try to keep other patients and doctors on time. If you feel that you will be more than 10 minutes late, please notify us as soon as possible.

We welcome you to our office and applaud you for putting faith into oriental medicine.

There is not much that you need to prepare for an acupuncture treatment. We just want you to be as comfortable as possible. Please eat something before your treatment as acupuncture is not recommended on an empty stomach.

Your first appointment will be around 75 to 90 minutes which includes consultation, exam and acupuncture treatment. Follow-up treatment for most patients last 45-60 minutes. Please expect to fill out some paperwork for your first appointment. You may either do so at our office or fill them out electronically. Please answer all questions to the best of your ability. The more we know about you, the better we can develop a treatment plan for your condition. If you have medical notes and reports of diagnostic images pertaining to your medical condition, please bring them with you to your appointment. For new patients, please bring your ID card and/or insurance card. 

***If you want to use health insurance, please relay the information to us before your first appointment. We may not always be able to check your health insurance during your appointment due to the insurance company's hour of operation.
